Delivery information
We generally use Australia Post to ship your orders. Their rates are competitive and their service is very reliable. To ensure that you are charged the most competitive rate for freight, we usually compare costs with Team Global couriers. If the courier rate is cheaper than Australia Post, we will generally use the courier for delivery. This is particularly the case for large and/or heavy consignments.
If Team Global couriers are used, please note that a redelivery fee of $30.00 is charged if the courier is unable to deliver because your premise is closed. Therefore, it is really important that you provide us with your opening hours so we can advise the courier. If you are sometimes closed temporarily within your normal business hours, please advise of somewhere your consignment can be left when delivery is attempted (they won’t wait for someone to return from a bathroom break). The alternative location needs to be very close by – next door is perfect. For Australia Post, if your premise is closed when delivery is attempted, the goods will be taken to the closest post office for collection. If you would prefer to always have your order delivered by courier, please let us know.
Damage in transit
It rarely happens, however, if damage occurs in transit and you sign for the parcels without noting any damage to the cartons, this will jeopardise your ability to make a claim against the delivery service Play Imports takes great care to ensure that your goods are packed carefully, however, we are unable to take responsibility for damage caused by third parties while in transit.
Please check your cartons for any obvious external damage before signing for the delivery.
Note :
Our minimum freight charge is $30.00.
An additional $15.00 handling fee will be charged for orders under $300.00. Small orders will only be processed for soft toys and this will be at the discretion of Play Imports.
